Instrumental Music Program Signup
Tolbert Music is proud to offer our Symphonic Orchestra program at Holy Family School, serving students in grades 2 and up. Mr. Oswald Backus will lead the program once per week on Thursdays, where students will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of band and orchestral instruments, including Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Euphonium, Percussion, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass. Our unique method book allows students to learn multiple instruments within the same classroom setting, and we tailor the curriculum to each student's progress.
Program Details & Commitments:
Cost: $40 per month, or $350 upfront for the full year.
Program Cycle: The program operates on a 10-month cycle. While some months may have fewer than four classes due to holidays or the school year’s end date, our pricing accounts for this. Makeup lessons are available if more than 3 classes are missed due to unexpected cancellations.
Full-Year Commitment: Consistency is key to mastering these instruments, so we require a full-year commitment. Should you wish to disenroll, please contact us to discuss options before making any decisions.
Instrument: Students must provide their own instrument. We offer a rental partnership with Music and Arts, which provides quality instruments through a convenient rent-to-own program. Rental costs range from $25 to $45 per month, with every dollar spent going toward owning the instrument.
Incidental Costs: There may be small additional costs for items such as sheet music, reeds, and instrument care kits. These are not expensive, but we encourage you to be informed and prepared.
Make-Up Work: If students miss any class time, they are expected to make up the missed work during regular school hours.
Practice: We recommend a minimum of 4 practices per week, lasting about 30 minutes each, to ensure steady progress and enjoyment.
